Good News in the Faithwalking Community

In one of Faithwalking’s most fruitful seasons, we are pleased to announce the receipt of a two-year $100,000 matching grant. Details are below. Join us in giving thanks to God for the blessing this gift represents.

Last fall our Executive Team conducted a discernment process out of which they established a three-year plan. One major goal was to establish a financial sustainability plan to empower our growth. (Click here to see more details.)

One strategy for financial sustainability was to hire a Director of Development. In December 2015, two donors gave major year-end gifts that made it possible for us to hire Vic Hooker for this position. Vic is passionate about Faithwalking and about fund-raising, and his presence is being felt. In April 2016, one of those year-end donors said: “I want Vic to succeed. For every new dollar that you raise for Faithwalking, I will match that dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000 a year for two consecutive years.

We launch the campaign to match the first $50,000 on July 1, 2016. If you did not give in 2015, every dollar of your gift this year will be matched. If you gave in 2015, every dollar that exceeds your 2015 gift amount will be matched dollar-for-dollar.  Please join us on this mission to meet the first $50,000 of the matching grant by December 31, 2016.
